Standard Limited Warranty for Ctechspec Products

1. Scope of Warranty

Ctechspec warrants that its lighting products (“the Products”) shall be free from defects in materials, components, and workmanship when operated under normal and specified conditions. This Limited Warranty applies solely to the original purchaser and is not transferable unless otherwise required by applicable law.

2. Warranty Period

The warranty period commences on the date of original purchase. The duration of coverage for each Product is specified in the corresponding Ctechspec technical documentation. The Company reserves the right to request proof of purchase to verify warranty eligibility.

3. Covered Defects

Subject to the terms and conditions herein, this Limited Warranty covers the following:

  • Failures of LED modules attributable to manufacturing defects
  • Malfunctions of drivers or power supplies not resulting from improper installation or misuse
  • Structural or housing defects that materially impair Product performance
  • Replacement parts and labor costs associated with approved warranty repairs

4. Exclusions and Limitations

This Limited Warranty does not cover, and the Company shall have no obligation with respect to, the following:

  • Damage arising from incorrect installation, improper wiring, or use with incompatible dimming or control systems
  • Failures caused by power surges, lightning events, or unstable electrical supply
  • Normal lumen depreciation consistent with industry standards
  • Ordinary wear and tear
  • Cosmetic imperfections that do not affect functional performance, including but not limited to scratches, discoloration, or surface blemishes
  • Damage resulting from exposure to environmental conditions outside the Product’s rated specifications
  • Unauthorized repairs, alterations, or modifications that affect structural or electrical integrity

The Company shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of use, or labor costs not expressly covered herein, except where prohibited by law.

5. Client Responsibilities

To maintain warranty eligibility, the client shall:

  • Ensure installation is performed by a qualified and licensed electrician
  • Operate the Product strictly within its specified electrical, environmental, and operational ratings
  • Retain and provide proof of purchase upon request
  • Report any suspected defect promptly to prevent further damage

6. Warranty Claim Procedure

To initiate a warranty claim, the client must:

  1. Contact the Company’s support team at info@ctechspec.ca
  2. Provide proof of purchase, installation details, and a detailed description of the issue
  3. Allow the Company to evaluate the claim and determine whether repair, replacement, or inspection is warranted
  4. Bear the cost of shipping the Product to the Company or its authorized service provider, unless otherwise required by law

Upon validation of a claim, the Company will, at its sole discretion, repair the Product, replace it with an equivalent product, or provide another remedy as permitted under this Limited Warranty.
